Panchase Village Trek – 11 days

The Panchase Trek is a short yet rewarding trek near Pokhara, offering a mix of natural beauty and cultural experiences. While it is not part of the main Annapurna trail, it provides an excellent off-the-beaten-path adventure. This trek is perfect for visitors who want to explore rural Nepal without missing breathtaking views of the Annapurna Himalayan Range.

The journey begins with a peaceful boat ride across Lake Phewa. From there, a short climb leads to stunning views of the Annapurna range, Machhapuchhare (Fishtail), Dhaulagiri, and Manaslu. These magnificent peaks create a picturesque backdrop throughout the trek.

The trek reaches its highest point at Panchase Hill (2,500m). If you wake up early, you can witness a breathtaking sunrise over the Himalayas. Panchase is where five tall hills meet at the top. It is also a sacred site featuring: Sidda Baba Temple, Dharmasala, Mahadev Temple, A View Tower, and Buddha Statues.

Panchase marks the intersection of Kaski, Parbat, and Syangja districts. The region holds religious significance, with Pancasila Lake and the Barah Temple at the summit. According to local beliefs, saints once lived here, and the site remains a peaceful retreat for yoga and meditation.

From the top of Panchase Hill, trekkers can enjoy panoramic views of Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Machhapuchhre, Lamjung Himal, and Manaslu. The sunrise and sunset views from this spot are truly unforgettable.

This trek is an ideal option for those seeking a short yet immersive Himalayan experience. It offers a perfect balance of scenic beauty, cultural richness, and spiritual significance, all within a few days’ journey from Pokhara.
