Upper Mustang By Jeep – 5 Days

Explore the legendary “Last Forbidden Kingdom” in a comfortable 4×4. This fast‑paced jeep journey takes you deep into Upper Mustang’s rain‑shadow desert—wind‑carved canyons, ochre cliffs, ancient cave dwellings, and the walled palace city of Lo Manthang. Ideal for travelers short on time who want authentic culture, stunning geology, and dramatic Himalayan panoramas without long trekking days.

What to Expect

Fly or drive to Jomsom, then continue by private 4×4 along the Kali Gandaki gorge into the arid trans‑Himalayan plateau. The route passes Kagbeni, Chhusang, Chele, Syangbochen, and Tsarang before reaching Lo Manthang. Expect monastery visits, sky‑caves, whitewashed villages, chortens, and endless high‑desert horizons. Roads are mostly gravel with some rough sections; our experienced drivers ensure a safe, steady pace.

Best Time: Spring (Mar–May) and Autumn (Sep–Nov) offer stable weather and clear views. Upper Mustang is also popular during the summer (Jun–Aug) due to its monsoon‑shadow location.
